We presented our research at the 19th IMISCOE annual conference, organised at the Oslo Metropolitan University in June 2022. The presentation, ‘Brexit, EU27 Academics in the UK and experiences of hostility and relative privilege’, was part of the panel ‘Privileged mobilities: local impacts, belonging and citizenship’. As part of our analysis of the experience of Brexit of EU academics in the UK, we have explored both instances of microaggression reported by the interviewees and the degree to which the interviewees have discussed their relative privilege in terms of class and legal status.
