Researchers Jessica Hampton and Caterina Guardamagna teamed up with actors Ivan Fantasia and Pasqualina Romano in a short theatre piece entitled “Where are you from? From provocation to curiosity: a journey into the experience of a multicultural society” written and directed by Ivan Fantasia and inspired by the interviews analysed by the ‘Brain Drain’ migration team (Caterina Guardamagna, Jessica Hampton, Djordje Sredanovic and Mariana Roccia). Aimed at a broad public, this piece puts on stage the contradictory and complex lived experiences of a small group of European migrants faced with the question ‘Where are you from?’. The public is invited to think of their own experiences, emotions and reactions when being asked or asking this ‘tricky’ question.
